We help British Columbians find family doctors and medical clinics that are actively accepting new patients — because access to primary care shouldn't be a mystery.
Our Mission
Millions of British Columbians lack access to a regular family doctor. Finding one that is accepting patients is frustrating — clinic websites are often out of date, phone lines are busy, and information is scattered across dozens of sources.
Find a Doctor BC was built to fix that. We aggregate clinic information from across BC, verify it regularly, and present it in a single, easy-to-search directory. Whether you're a new resident, recently lost your doctor, or simply searching for a closer practice, we make the process faster.
We're a small team of developers and healthcare advocates based in British Columbia. This site is free for patients and free for clinics to list on.
How the Site Works
Clinic Listings
Clinics can register and manage their own listing, keeping their acceptance status, hours, and provider information up to date directly from a dashboard.
Regular Verification
Our team periodically contacts clinics to verify their information. Listings that haven't been updated in 90 days are flagged for review.
Community Driven
Patients can leave reviews, report outdated information, and suggest new clinics. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team.
Data Accuracy Policy
We take data accuracy seriously, but we cannot guarantee that every listing is 100% current at all times. Clinic availability changes frequently, and there can be a delay between a clinic updating their status and it appearing on our site.
Always call ahead
Before visiting a clinic or attempting to register, we strongly encourage you to call the clinic directly to confirm current availability. Status changes may not be immediately reflected on our site.
We partner with clinic administrators who verify their listing at least every 90 days. Listings marked as "Verified" have been confirmed by the clinic within the past 90 days.
If you find information that is inaccurate, please use the contact form to report it. We review all reports within 2 business days.
Clinic data is sourced from public records, clinic-submitted updates, and community contributions. We do not receive any compensation from clinics for appearing in search results — all listings are ranked equally based on availability status and last-updated date.
